Shore Based Courses

All shore based courses are held on site in Troon Yacht Haven, where we occupy a 53' portacabin which has a comfortable roomy classroom, galley, office and storage area. The classsroom is designed to be a multi-purpose teaching area, fully equipped with an extensive range of resources. These include:

• overhead projector
• slide projector
• digital projector
• multimedia desktops
• laptops
• video player
• VHF radio simulator
• diesel engine
• radar simulator
• lots of maritime software

These resources really do speed up the learning process but more importantly they make the learning fun.

The office can double as a small tutorial room for private study, and the entire cabin is usually pervaded by the small of freshly brewed coffee.
